Today we're announcing a partnership with Uber Direct. From this week, every 餐厅 on Andromeda can book on-demand couriers directly from the POS — no new app, no separate rate card, no procurement conversation.
This is the second pillar of what we call Deliver Plus: a courier network that sits behind the same auto-dispatch engine your own 骑手 use. If your team's busy, the order fires to Uber Direct automatically. If your team's quiet, it goes to them. You don't have to choose which model to run — you run both at once.
We've done the commercials with Uber at scale. Individual 餐厅 get fleet pricing without the fleet-sized paperwork.
Andromeda decides: own 骑手 or Uber rider, whichever is faster on the postcode right now. Peak nights stop being a 员工ing lottery.
Whether the rider is one of yours or an Uber rider, the order and the GPS trail sit inside the same Portal and Mission Control — same view, same reports.
The headline benefit is cost. Most independent 餐厅 who look at Uber Direct directly are quoted rates built for a 餐厅 doing a few 订单 a night. On Andromeda, you plug into pricing that reflects thousands of sites and tens of thousands of 订单 a week — without having to be the size of a chain.
The quieter benefit is flexibility. Running your own 骑手 fleet is great when volume is predictable. It is not great on a 免费zing-cold Thursday in February, when two 骑手 call in sick and the aggregators still send you tickets.
