App privacy policy

Overview

This policy covers the Andromeda-powered consumer ordering apps — the branded mobile apps that diners use to browse a restaurant's menu, place orders and receive order updates. It is a shorter companion to our main privacy policy, which governs all personal information we process.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address and phone number used to register and place orders
  • Delivery addresses you add to the app
  • Order history, preferences and favourites
  • Loyalty point balance and redemption history (where the restaurant offers loyalty)
  • Device identifier and push-notification token used to send order status updates
  • Anonymised diagnostic and crash data to help us improve the app

We do not store payment-card details in the app. Card payments are processed through our PCI-compliant payment partners.

How your data is used

  • To set up your account and sign you in securely
  • To process the orders you place with the restaurant
  • To send transactional messages about your order (confirmation, ready, out-for-delivery, complete)
  • To award, display and redeem loyalty points where offered
  • To diagnose faults and improve the reliability of the app
  • With your consent, to send marketing offers from the restaurant you ordered from

Marketing choices

Marketing messages from a restaurant are opt-in. You can unsubscribe at any time from within the app's account settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

How your data is protected

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Your account is protected by your password and, where offered, by two-factor authentication or biometric sign-in. Personal information we hold is kept behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of authorised personnel.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct inaccurate data, and to request deletion. To make a request, email info@andromedapos.com. We will respond within 28 days.
