Andromeda Go privacy policy

Overview

Andromeda Go is the driver app used by couriers assigned to delivery jobs from an Andromeda-powered restaurant. This policy describes what personal information the app collects, how it is used, where it is stored and the controls available to the driver. It should be read alongside our main privacy policy.

Who controls your data

The restaurant you drive for is the data controller for your employment relationship and for the delivery jobs you perform. Andromeda UK Services Ltd acts as the data processor, operating the app on the restaurant's behalf. If you have questions about how your data is used by the restaurant, please speak to them directly.

What we collect

When you use Andromeda Go we collect:

• Your name and the driver login credentials issued by the restaurant
• Your phone number and device identifier, so the restaurant can contact you and the app can be re-authenticated
• Your device's GPS location while you are clocked in for a delivery run
• Timestamps for clock-in, pickup, out-the-door, on-site-at-customer and job-complete events
• The order references and basic delivery addresses for each job you are assigned
• Anonymised crash and performance data to help us diagnose faults in the app

We do not collect payment-card details, government identifiers or health information through the app.

Location tracking

Location is collected only while the app is active and you are on a delivery job. You can pause or end location tracking by clocking off. The restaurant uses this location data to estimate delivery times for customers, to coordinate multi-drop dispatches and to support drivers in the event of an incident on the road. Location history is retained only for as long as it is operationally useful and is deleted on a rolling basis thereafter.

How your data is used

We use the information collected by Andromeda Go to:

• Assign delivery jobs to you and show you pickup and drop-off instructions
• Share your estimated arrival time with the customer placing the order
• Provide the restaurant with a live map, run history and service-time reporting
• Keep you logged into the app and secure your account from unauthorised access
• Diagnose crashes and improve the stability and performance of the app

How your data is protected

All communication between the app and our servers is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to driver data within our systems is limited to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis. Our hosting environment is protected by industry-standard network controls and is monitored for security events.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct inaccurate data and, in certain circumstances, to request deletion of your data.
