Your connected Stripe account, built into the platform.

Andromeda operates a Stripe Connect platform. You get your own connected account inside it — with online payments, in-store terminals and subscription billing all wired in. One dashboard. One payout. One reconciliation view. Set up in minutes, not months.

We've been on Stripe since the platform was ready for restaurants — and we've doubled down every year since. Stripe runs the money across the POS, the website, the app, the kiosk and the billing for Andromeda itself.

What we use Stripe for.

Stripe Connect — online payments

Every order taken on your ordering website, your branded mobile app and your kiosk settles through your own connected account on Andromeda's Connect platform. Apple Pay, Google Pay, saved cards, 3D Secure — all included. Payouts go straight to your bank.

Stripe Terminal — card-present

Use certified Stripe card readers at the till and on the kiosk. Chip-and-PIN, contactless and mobile wallets. The same payouts, the same dashboard, the same reconciliation flow as your online sales.

Stripe Billing — subscriptions

Your Andromeda subscription itself runs on Stripe Billing. Predictable monthly invoicing, GBP and EUR support, VAT handled. Card on file, direct debit, failed-payment retries — all taken care of.

Stop reconciling across five providers.

If you take online payments with one processor, in-store card with another, and a third for your mobile app, end-of-month looks like pulling CSVs from three different portals and hoping the totals add up. They rarely do.

On Andromeda, every card payment — website, app, kiosk, till, table — settles into the same Stripe connected account. You see it in one dashboard, you get one payout file a day, and refunds route back the same way they came in. Reconciliation goes from a half-day job to a coffee.

Onboarded during the demo.

Because Andromeda is the Connect platform, onboarding is built into our set-up flow. You give us your company details, Stripe's hosted flow verifies the business, and your connected account is live in the Portal ten minutes later — payments ready to take.

No separate merchant application. No paper forms. No six-week wait for a merchant ID. If your business is already trading and your paperwork is in order, most operators are taking live card payments the same day they sign.

What operators notice first.

"The part I didn't expect was how much faster month-end became. Website, kiosk, till — one payout, one place. I used to spend a whole Monday on it."

What operators ask us about Stripe.

How does the Stripe account work — is it mine or Andromeda's?

It's yours. Andromeda operates a Stripe Connect platform, and during onboarding we stand up your own connected account inside that platform. Payouts go to your bank, not ours. Your dashboard, your transaction history, your rates. If you ever leave Andromeda, the connected account and its history stay with you and can be migrated off our platform.

What are the processing rates?

Rates are tuned for the restaurant sector based on the volume across the whole Andromeda estate, not a generic rate card. They vary by card type, channel (online vs in-store) and your own volume. We share the exact number during the demo.

Can I keep my existing payment provider?

For online payments, Stripe is our native integration and the one we recommend — because it connects the online, in-store and billing flows in one dashboard. For in-store we also support Paymentsense and, on enterprise agreements, other acquirers. We'll map your current setup during the demo and tell you what's possible.

Is the integration PCI-compliant?

Yes. Card details never touch Andromeda's servers — they go straight to Stripe via tokenised payment flows, which keeps your PCI-DSS scope to the minimum level (SAQ-A). The in-store Stripe Terminal readers are certified P2PE devices.

How do refunds work?

Refunds can be issued from the POS, from Mission Control, from the Portal or from the Stripe dashboard itself — all routes end up at the same underlying transaction. Partial refunds are supported. Refunds settle to the original payment method.

Can I use Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes — on the ordering website, in the branded app and at the kiosk. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported out of the box through Stripe. Consumers see the wallet they already use; you get one reconciled payout.

Stripe is the money layer — here's what it connects to.
